Carlos Andres Monsalve is an accomplished architect with a passion for architecture, manual arts, and photography. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Andrews University School of Architecture in Southwest Michigan, where he honed his skills and developed a deep interest in understanding how architectural customs and traditions shape diverse cultures.

Throughout his academic journey, Carlos actively pursued opportunities to broaden his knowledge and gain valuable experience through travel. In the summer of 2013, he began his career at Wade Weissmann Architecture, where he had the privilege of collaborating with renowned architects in designing highly detailed homes throughout the United States. Years later, Carlos continued his journey as Project Manager at Wade Design Architects designing homes and wineries amongst Californias Wine Country.

In 2018, Carlos embarked on a new adventure in Texas, driven by his desire to gain a deeper understanding of the development process and contribute to the design of the rapidly growing community of Rowlett. Taking on the role of Urban Design Officer and Land-use Administrator for the city, he utilized his extensive knowledge of New Urbanist principles and general site design to establish and enforce a Form-Based Code. This pivotal role has allowed Carlos to combine his expertise with his unwavering dedication to creating spaces that harmoniously blend functionality, aesthetics, and cultural context.

As a licensed architect in the State of Texas and a proud member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Carlos now continues to actively contribute to the architectural field under the banner of Mon.Archi.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Carlos leads a fulfilling life outside of his work. He finds solace in exploring the great outdoors, immersing himself in his passion for music, and actively participating in leadership roles at his local church. Carlos's multifaceted interests and unwavering dedication to his craft make him a truly exceptional architect who is continually striving to create spaces that not only meet the highest standards of design but also inspire and enrich the lives of those who inhabit them.
